They play an important role in their organisations – collecting and analysing a wide range of data types to gain game-changing insight in areas such as business operations, customer behaviour or competitive landscapes. After using data to build computerised models and calculations, data analysts can make informed recommendations to management to help improve and optimise the business – potentially changing its fortunes in the process. In an increasingly digital world, good data analysts are instrumental to their organisations.
